Aspinwall lifestyle Maternity Session
I was referred to by a client who I’ve been photographing for years.
When I arrived at this family’s home for their in-home maternity photos, I was greeted at the door by adorable soon-to-be big brother, asking if I would like to play with him. So I made a deal with him: in between taking photos, we’d race cars.
Their home had this wonderful charm and gorgeous light created by large windows. I settled the three of them settled onto their couch and Big Brother read a book to little brother.
After our first car race (which I lost), the three piled into a chair and snuggled up. There was even a tickle fight in here, somewhere!

We headed upstairs to the family room where big brother drew a photo of the baby in his mommy’s belly. How cool is this chalkboard that they used to re-purpose the fireplace?
Big brother had to give me a tour of the entire house, which I was perfectly fine with. I was totally in love with the woodwork and craftsmanship. We couldn’t skip his big boy room!
I enjoyed my time with this family, and it was nice to relax in the warmth of their home and capture some memories…and lose a few matchbox car races!
