Wedding Photos in Allison Park
Brittany & Matt’s fall wedding was rainy but so much fun! I knew them and their family beforehand, so that made the day so easy!
I met up with Brittany, her mom, and bridesmaids at Val-Lerie’s Hair Design for hair and makeup photos. It was fun catching up with her sisters-in-law in between photos of her gorgeous updo and makeup! And how cute is the shirt she’s wearing? Matt is a cop, so she had a uniform shirt embroidered with her new last name!
North Hills Wedding Photos
After everyone’s hair and make-up was finished, we headed over to North Hills Christian Church to hang out and get dressed. I took a little time here to get some shots of their details. I love that this couple paid homage to Matt’s career as a police officer through little touches like the thin blue line in his wedding band.
Wedding Preparation Photos at North Hills Christian Church
One of my favorite shots to grab on a wedding day is of the girls all dolled up but still wearing their sweats or yoga pants. Brittany got all of her girls monogrammed button down shirts as gifts…and how cute is the little flower girl? She was so excited!
Brittany’s Alfred Angelo dress was stunning! It was lace with a sheer back and it had beaded trimmings. It looked amazing on her!
We joked all day about how Matt was a groomzilla. He took the wedding planning very seriously, so we had to tease him about running late!
Wedding Ceremony at North Hills Christian Church
Brittany’s dad walked her down the aisle as bagpipes played and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place, including Matt (and me)!
These two wrote their own vows, which was another tear-jerker.
This couple loves their pup, Roxy (she even made an appearance in their engagement photos!) so, it was really special that a friend of theirs brought her to the church for a few photos-and snuggles- after the ceremony.
Laube Hall Wedding Photos
When we arrived at Laube Hall for portraits, it was cold and rainy. The venue does have this really cool covered space underneath it, though, so that’s where we headed.
Now it was time to celebrate! The inside of this hall is gorgeous! It has beautiful ambient lighting that I had fun playing with!
Matt’s family is Greek, so there were a lot of traditional Greek dances during the reception. It’s fun to watch, but can get a little dangerous for a photographer! LOL
At the end of a very fun night, I sneaked them outside for a few shots. They’re so cute!
