Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer
Victoria and Daniel have known each other since pre-school (check out their save-the-dates below using a photo we recreated during their engagement session)!
I started the day at Victoria’s parents’ house and spent some time photographing her gorgeous bouquet, dress, and other details. Her bouquet was STUNNING! Such pretty fall colors.
After a mimosa toast with her wonderful group of bridesmaids, Victoria’s sister Rachel did her makeup for her and then they got dressed.
I like to try and guess what kind of wedding dress a bride will choose, and for once I was spot on with Victoria’s. It was simple, fun and gorgeous all at the same time, just like her.
She and her dad were adorable during their first time seeing each other all dressed up…fist bumps all around!
And who doesn’t love a good shot of the bridesmaids’ expressions when they first see the beautiful bride?
I had the privilege of looking through her parent’s wedding album and we re-created this photo of Debbie and her parents from her wedding day.
After a few more portraits at the house, the girls boarded the trolly from Molly’s Trolleys and headed to the church.
While I was with the ladies, my associate shooter for the day, Kat from Requiem Images, was taking some shots of the guys getting ready.
It’s always fun when the guys do something fun the morning of their wedding. In this case, Daniel got in a little archery practice.
Wedding Ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral
Victoria and Daniel’s wedding ceremony took place at St Paul’s Cathedral in Oakland. This church is drop-dead gorgeous and I was practically drooling at the beautiful light it had because everything is white!
Daniel’s sister Nora sang during their ceremony as a special gift to the couple. She has a beautiful voice.
This church is so amazing inside…I get giddy all over again looking at these photos!
The sheer happiness on her face as they walked down the aisle after the ceremony just tugs at my heart strings. She always has a smile on her face!
Wedding Photos at Embassy Suites Pittsburgh Airport
The wedding party all hopped back on to trolley for the ride to the reception venue, which was the gorgeous Embassy Suites Pittsburgh International Airport in Coraopolis. They had beautiful weather for some outdoor photos, and the hotel has this really grand front entrance, complete with a porch swing, so we took full advantage of that.
It made me giggle when Victoria asked me if they should have a “serious” portrait. I told her if she could ~not smile~ long enough for me to snap one, then we’d do it. Guess what? It didn’t work. She cracked up before the shutter was pressed halfway down.
Wedding Reception Photos at Embassy Suites
Eric from Wenning Entertainment was the DJ for the reception and he was phenomenal at getting the guests out on the dancefloor. He had a lot of personal touches that I had never seen, including having everyone stand in a circle around Victoria and Daniel for their first dance.
Thank you, Victoria and Daniel for choosing me to be a part of your day! I’ve enjoyed the friendship we’ve built and I look forward to staying in touch as your love grows!
