Greystone Fields Wedding | Alex & Nate | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

September 6, 2017

I’ve been looking forward to Alex & Nate’s wedding since I met them last summer.  I knew when we got together at the Pymatuning Yacht Club for their engagement session that we’d have a blast together!

We started the morning out at Guys & Dolls Salon for hair and makeup.

Justin did a wonderful job on Alex’s hair…especially impressive because there was no hair trial!  He’s amazing!

There’s nothing like a photo of all the girls with their hair and makeup done, but still in their sweats!  This group was super fun!

Once everyone was all dolled up, the limo arrived and took them to the reception venue.  Greystone Fields is an amazing location to have a wedding!  The girls and guys both had a suite upstairs to get ready in.

Alex had beautiful pink pumps that she wore for the ceremony but she had fun pink sparkly Converse for after!

She wore these gorgeous earrings as her borrowed item.

While the girls hung out for a bit, my associate shooter Abigail of Light & Motion Media and I took Alex’s dress, which she got at This Magic Moment Bridal, outside and got some shots of it.

Then it was tie to go back inside and get dressed!  Each of Alex’s bridesmaids, along with her mom and mother-in-law, took turns lacing her into her dress.

Can I just take a moment to mention how gorgeous both moms were?

Now Alex was all dolled up and ready to get married!  She was an absolutely stunning bride!

Nate’s family is Puerto Rican and they had traditional favors made from lace and ribbon for everyone to wear.

Alex gifted Nate a pair of pink and gray argyle socks in case he got cold feet.  ðŸ™‚  He changed out of his other socks immediately.  Awwwe!!

Alex’s nephew was originally supposed to be the ring bearer at the wedding.  However, her sister-in-law was expecting baby #2 on the same day as the wedding, so they couldn’t travel.  Alex’s mom Face Timed them right before the wedding and he was all dressed up in his suit.

One of my favorite parts of the day is when a dad sees his little girl all dressed up for the first time.  Alex has such an awesome relationship with her parents, that this one was one of my favorites!

We moved outside for the ceremony, which was full of fun moments between Alex & Nate, from their personally written vows, to their secret handshake first kiss.

The venue was decorated beautifully with lots of pink touches!  After the introductions and speeches, guests sat down to dinner, which was catered by Stephen’s Kitchen & Catering.

After dinner, the couple cut their three tiered cake from Oakmont Bakery.

They shared their first dance to “You’re Still the One” by Shania Twain.  It was super sweet to watch them sing to each other.

Alex and her dad danced to “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle and had all the fathers and daughters join them on the dance floor.

Nate and his mom danced to “Mama’s Song” by Carrie Underwood, which Nate’s sister sang (changing the words up to fit the occasion).

I am slightly obsessed with how Alex’s bridesmaids dresses created an ombre effect.  It made for such awesome photos

Her fabulous bouquet was made by Kocher’s Flowers.

We had a beautiful golden hour, so Abigail and I took them out to have a few minutes to themselves while we snapped some seriously gorgeous photos.

Shout out to Katie for helping me with my first official night shot!  If you look closely, you’ll see at least one meteor, because there was a meteor shower!

Thanks, Alex & Nate, for choosing me to photograph your day!  I wish you the utmost happiness in your life together!
