Washington’s Landing Family Session | Crawford Family | Pittsburgh Family Photographer

August 24, 2017

The Crawfords are truly some of my favorite humans on Earth.  I’ve known them for a few years now, since they hired me for their engagement and wedding photos.  And then they came back to me for a milestone session when they got pregnant with this cutie pie.

We were a bit overdue on LJ’s one year shoot, but we finally got our butts in gear and our schedules coordinated and set a date.

Washington’s Landing Family Session

We decided to head back to Washington’s Landing where we had Larry & Lacey’s engagement session.  The trail goes the whole length of the island and there are lots of pretty spots with grass, flowers, and overlooking the river.

Our first adventure was climbing the big grass hill.  LJ was so proud of himself when he got to the top.  He enjoyed smelling the flowers, as you can see, he makes quite the unique face, LOL.

Daddy got behind me and played some music and got a little silly so that I could capture some of his beautiful smiles and laughs.

Now it was time to give Mommy a panic attack by taking him out onto the overlook.  He was enthralled with the water down below, but not thrilled that Daddy wouldn’t let go of his hand.

This age is so much fun to capture.  Little ones are so full of wonder and sometimes its fun just to let them explore their surroundings.

We finally got him to sit down for a few family photos (and smile at the silly noises I was making) before we dug into his smash cake.

LJ had a blast making a mess with his smash cake.  He did a little finger painting before he actually tasted any of it, so he was thoroughly sticky and messy by the end.

I’m looking forward to capturing more memories for this sweet family!

If you’re interested in booking a milestone session with me, contact me to day for pricing!   It’s a great way to capture how your child has grown!
